FOR THE STREETS

№ 0006·HAPPENING 001·Henry Street·AUG 19 2026·6:00–11:30 PM

OPENING, HENRY STREET

A gallery the size of a bedroom. Ninety people. One painting sold, to the artist's mother.

Present: the artist, the artist's mother, someone in a fur coat, a dealer who left early

The crowd inside

The room held maybe thirty. By eight there were ninety, so the show was mostly on the sidewalk, which is where it should have been anyway.

Fur coat in August. The work, glimpsed. The artist, who did not want to be photographed and was photographed forty times.

I'm not buying, I'm just looking at who's buying.
